1. How do I determine whether I own an original Victorinox knife?
With VICTORINOX stamping on the blade and the VICTORINOX Emblem (cross and shield) on the handle you own the Original Swiss Army Knife. The Emblem identifies VICTORINOX and all multitools and licence-products.

2. What is the warranty for Victorinox products?
Victorinox guarantees all knives and tools to be of first class stainless steel and also guarantees a life time against any defects in material and workmanship (2 years for electronic components). Damages caused by misuse or abuse are not covered by this guarantee.

4. What does stainless mean?
Stainless steel has a high resistant to corrosion. The steel is tempered, annealed and polished to achieve the necessary hardness and provide optimum resistance to corrosion.
If stainless steel products are not cleaned over a long period of time, aggressive substances (fruit acids, salt water etc.) are able to act on (corrode) the material.
5. How do I care for my knife?
Regular cleaning and oiling are important for proper functioning. We have posted some useful tips for proper caring of your knives following this link.
6. Are multi-tools dishwasher-proof?
The temperature in dishwashers can reach between 55 and 80 degrees,
depending on the selected cycle. Cleaning salts and strong cleaning agents are
used during this process. Exposing penknives and multi-tools to aggressive atmospheres
and high temperatures for extended periods can cause damage.
Therefore, do not put penknives or other multi-tools in the dishwasher!
